What’s up? My name’s Sonny. I’m a fitness coach/writer, father, and food lover.
I started SONNY DECKER FITNESS with the mission of helping people, just like you, get insanely healthy and fit.
My passion: health, fitness, and wellness.
My mission: to get people to become healthier and more fit versions of themselves through coaching and writing.
I got my start in fitness lifting weights in the grungy old basement of my childhood home with my dad and brother. Since then it’s always been a huge part of my life.
Now, you may take a look around here and think that building muscle, losing fat, getting stronger, and staying fit and healthy is easy for me.
Let me tell you: it’s not.
I struggle to eat healthy sometimes. I love to eat, so losing fat (“cutting”) is almost like death to me. I struggle to get 7-8 hours of sleep some nights. Sometimes I *gasp* skip workouts.
I never go off the rails and quit. I never give up. I see mistakes as small hiccups and keep on going.
The reason it works for me is because I’ve made it an important part of my lifestyle.
A lot of people say they have no time to workout or eat healthy.
I say bullsh*t!
It’s all about being smart and prioritizing.
Are you going to watch TV… or are you going to go workout?
Are you going to eat that pint of ice cream… or have some Greek yogurt?
Are you going to go out and party all night… or are you going to turn the lights out at 10 pm?
It’s all about choices.
Now, this doesn’t mean you have to be perfect.
But you do need some discipline and the power to say no to certain things, and that’s what I’m here to help you with.
